What tax year does CVRP verify during the income verification process?
CVRP considers an applicant's most recent federal tax return to be the one most recently required to be filed by the IRS. CVRP switches to requesting a new tax filing year for applications submitted the day after the federal income tax filing due date. For example, CVRP began requesting tax transcripts for tax year 2021 after the tax filing deadline in April 2022.
If an applicant has filed their taxes for a tax year before CVRP switches to requesting it, the applicant may request that CVRP evaluate that tax year. For example, an applicant who had already filed their 2022 taxes in February of 2023 may request that CVRP evaluate their tax transcript for tax year 2022.

That's pretty much CA motto for everything. -CA resident
Fixer upper bit of a stretch, unless you're talking specific enclaves.
News flash, a vast majority get another tech job. 10,000 highly educated people don't just sit moping around.
"You may be eligible for a CVRP rebate if you ordered a Tesla Model 3 or Model Y on or after January 12, 2023. To be eligible, the vehicle must be on the CVRP eligible vehicles page within 90 days of first registration. Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements."
Yet when you go to the eligible vehicles page, the 3 and Y aren't on it, making them not eligible? 🤔
I guess they change this?
Income Cap for Higher–Income Consumers
Consumers are not eligible for CVRP rebates if their gross annual incomes are above the thresholds listed below.
