    Cr-V is stronger than Cr-M, which is why Cr-V sockets have thinner walls than Cr-M. The potential downside of Cr-V is that it is also more brittle, so more likely to break under high stress, but probably not an issue for routine DIY projects. These will be good enough for anyone short of a professional mechanic.

    These are made of CR-V, an alloy used to make hand tools. The better impact tools are made of CR-MOLY.

    I have no idea why anyone would buy these ... unless they have no $$4 or the do not plan to keep them for very long.

    Personally, I already have the larger sizes in an impact set, and the smaller sizes (7-9mm)..well, it seems unwise to use an impact on such a small diameter bolt unless you enjoy snapping them off. These are the main reasons I don't have any interest, even though it seems a decent price.

    Lots of people use impacts on smaller bolts, not because they're too tight to get with hand tools, but because the impact is so much faster. Unless the fastener is seized for some reason it's not going to snap.
