Except this was available for 600 brand new from Samsung not too long ago. With book3 just dropping i expect it to drop to 500 or less soon on samsung.

But go ahead and get it here if you need it now.

Was that from Samsung as a regular customer or only for EPP/Student discount? 99% of Samsung deals lately seem to only be for like 5% of the population.

Not in this configuration. Plus with that plan you had to trade in another device

I bought the 15.6" version of this and was so underwhelmed by the 1080p screen I returned it - text was very pixelated and nothing special otherwise. Granted the screen is smaller on this one and the price is right.

Good to know! Like I said, I just wanted a couch browser that wasn't running android or IOS. My expectations were a lot lower than this at this price range haha

Yes same config, no trade in. Trade in would have brought it down to 520. I did pull the trigger but ended cancelling the order because it would have arrived while i was out of the country for 2 weeks and frankly I didn't need it so i am willing to wait for book3 and subsequent sale on book2.

Well you can say that about any 15.6" 1080p, not just this computer. For most folks, the pixel density is fine, but there will always be pixel snobs out there. At least other 15.6 are usually not oled.

My complaint is that even in gen3 they are still not offering 16:10 screen or 14" screen.

If you want an affordable couch-browsing 2-in-1 I'd say it's a good choice at this price. And I'd definitely prefer the 13.3" over the 15.6" screen on this model.

For some reason it seemed more pixelated than a typical 15.6" 1080p screen, probably having something to do with AMOLED display technology.

Nope I wouldn't be buying an 8gb machine these days. i am looking at my order confirmation email from December 2022 and it says i7 16gb.
