Note: You'll find complaints here about reliability or speed, but this varies by region. Many people have no problems. That's part of the reason they let you try it out cheaply. People also have different needs, so someone with typical bandwidth usage may be fine, and someone with demanding needs may or may not.

I had that problem before,but with a 120mm fan-no problem.
But yes,we should be able to switch the gateway with t-mobile.I bought a Nokia gateway off ebay for $25,because it works better(faster) then Arcadyan at my location.

Tmobile is very customer friendly - since gateways are not like physical cellphones we can swap them.

Get a prepaid service if you want to avoid a credit check. Metro 5g home internet is the exact same thing at t-mobile 5g home internet but is prepaid. There's no credit checks but you have to buy the modem and pay for the first month up front.

Tmo's nonchalant and poor handling of PII hack after hack is a problem that they need to be held accountable for.
Been trying the Verizon version out for about 2 months now. The max speeds are capped at 300 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up. During the entire day I usually get around 200-250 Mbps down and 10-15 Mbps up. Very late at night I get the full 300 and 20.
For T-Mobile if you are lucky and live in an area with a very good signal and no congestion you can get much higher speeds. Seen some people get close to 1 Gbps down and almost 100 Mbps up.
Just got "unlimited" myself in late '18 for the first time. Had 200GB before that on cell at about 3Mbps, and 7.5GB before that on satellite/0.5Mbps. Dialup wasn't unlimited either, 30 hours/month, unlimited services were long distance, dialup until '06, then the satellite.
Tmo and the setup I posted is working pretty solid. Think I might knock over a few more trees when I get time, should get a little better.
The other discussion is one consideration I have for service. I also don't like a credit check just for service, I think it's, silly, if I paid for my own equipment. Don't see much point in running credit unless I'm buying something big. Metro home is prepaid, and I could make it work in my router, but you can only sign up for it in the store, and that would be a 300 mile total trip.
Ofcourse argued for an hour with customer service and removed the charge, they keep arguing with me that i need pay,i asked simple questions to them
You didn't send me full equipment with sim
Didn't activated device,no account got created
Returned in two days
Came out of t-mobile in 2017,thought they changed and improved lol seems its worst now
I get 200mbps up and 40 down. almost as good as my spectrum for 40$ less per month

Just checked in an account that has 3 kickstart lines, 1 free, and the $25 tmhi4L they offered me $40 a month for this deal. Considering it since I'm paying $65 for myself but I know it'll take a big cut in reliability in exchange for saving $20 a month. Would prefer if they'd let me add another $25 line 🤣 or even the $30. At $40 it's like $20 more gets me speed and reliability.
That being said again the thing has worked perfect for 1-2 devices to stream and use apps in the RV
