Hi! Could someone help me understand why people are downvoting this post? It seems like a reasonable deal.
Is there something wrong with the protein product? 73% protein per scoop isn't amazing, but it's very reasonable.
I ran through the sales process just to check the numbers and here's what I found.
58.49 (list price at current discount)
- 14.62 (25%-off coupon for Subscribe & Save)
- 2.92 (5% off of current list price due to Subscribe & Save)
+ 0.44 (tax)
----------
=$41.39 <-- This is what the OP stated, less the tax.
For 5 pounds, that's $8.28/lb, which isn't bad at all for today's prices.
If it's the odd link the OP provided that has people worried, here's the product with a normal Amazon URL: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JUA736Y.
If I hadn't just bought a bunch of vanilla protein powder I'd strongly consider getting this. (I'm holding out for some strawberry. )
I'd like to understand if there's a problem with this product or company, in case a flavor I want comes on sale. Thank you for any insight anyone can provide.

One of the worst features of this site is allowing downvotes without comments. Downvotes without comments shouldn't even be tallied IMHO. So to answer your question, I have no idea why people are downvoting. Probably best to just ignore them use your own judgement and read whatever comments are here...

My actual doctor and the fairly surprising to me test results I got back during my annual check up this week would disagree with that generalized statement
I mean I can literally account for almost every single ratio'd out calorie that's gone into my body in the last year, and with the only noteworthy change there being a switch to concentrate powder from isolate in the name of saving money. Which came out to about an extra 200'ish daily on top of what I typically take in from chicken.
Or basically...screw me and those tubs of ON stashed up in my closet lol
Your comment is unclear. In any case as explains below

I also had been taking this for the last few months from previous deals, never even looking at the cholesterol in it. Just had bloodwork done 3 weeks ago and my blood chol levels jumped 20 points.. I will be a no on this kind from now on.
Need myprotien isolate deal pleassseee.
Again, and to repeat what my own doctor said in a real world setting this week:
"Here are your bloodwork test results. This is your cholesterol levels that need to come back down. These results are what ultimately matters here for *YOU*, and not what some online article you googled up suggests *should* or *could* be the generalized suggestion case for *some* people in the fine print details"
I actually read that article you linked shortly after it was even published. Heck it was even one of the reasons I stopped being so anal about monitoring my dietary cholesterol intake. But taking a more in-depth look into the actual testing data going in to that conclusion I guess I just fall into the 40% of people it essentially writes off as an exception value and fails to mention in the process of it's positive spin headline.

this is a good clue as to what you are really getting in these protein "blends" (almost all concentrate)
