Looks like a significant redesign. I have the older version in some of the pics and it's great. Not sure about this redesign but all the Rigid stuff I have is pretty solid.

Agreed, I have the older one and it is 'perfect' . Does anyone use the newer one? Was thinking of getting a second one for my truck

I have this stand. It's good, but so far there is no option to purchase the mounting braces separately like their other stand.

Look at the PowerTec version, it has a few features that are well worth the extra $25 (like the 3 outlet receptacle). I had the ryobi that didn't have wheels and lugging it around was a pain.

This isn't a redesign, this is a compact stand. Are you referring to the regular non-compact version?

It should work with nearly any tool that can be mounted using 4 bolts in a rectangular pattern.

If for any reason it doesn't: Homedepot is not a difficult place to return things like this.

Have ryobi quickstand and hate it's tiny knobs for tightening. So much pain to prevent 2x4 moving fixed arms.
