If you don't want to be cutting on the floor. I bought this stand about a year ago for this price and is a solid stand for this price. Legs are easy to extend. Biggest issue is the wheels are close together and is tipsy when transporting it, but would buy this again at 100 bucks.

Has anyone used one of these with one of the Bosch glide miter saws (which are rather heavy)? Curious how well the base interfaces with this stand, or if there would be modifications needed to do so...

These compact units can't be stored vertically with the saw attached on them like the larger, assisted-lift units can, can they?

No, this will not stand when folded with a saw attached.

this isn't true. there is a youtube review by "the woodshed" where the guy has it upright with a metabo saw attached and it's standing on its own. the wheel side lumber support has feet that come down and you can pull it out away from the wheels when upright to prevent it tipping. he explains it 5min in. https://youtu.be/WwjDnt1gSa4?si=q8Uaw24pwgnYnvkq

i'm not saying it would be super stable and also not saying it would work for every saw, but it is designed to stand upright on it's own.

I wish the Dewalt equivalent of this had the wheels on it too.

I'd like to know this as well. I have a Dewalt rolling stand in the box that I was going to use for my Bosch but this looks simpler. I do hate mixing brands but it's just aesthetics I suppose.

I concur on the tipsyness. Also annoying that the bolts are too short to attach some saws.

I've been mostly cutting on the floor and killing my back. Hopefully this helps, perfect timing for spring projects as well.
