This one is slower than SN850X and SK p41. However, it is still one of the top tier gen 4 ssd.
I think they have more inventory than we think. The other gen 4 ssd will continue to drop because
1. they are over priced way too much comparing actual performance of gen 3
2. over production and too much inventory
3. gen 5 is coming
4. Chinese start to make ssds with their own chipset.

What is going on with NVMe storage? Prices keep falling like crazy. This is perfect for my PS5.

How does this compare to the WD and Samsung ones we always see? Is there a noticeable difference on the PS5?

Great points, upvoted! I mostly agree with 1-3, however I think 4 is already priced in (remember those SSDs we never heard before or the name brands that was not originally in the storage business showing up these two years) , plus with US nationals banned from helping Chinese manufacturing the chips (CHIPS act, and yes it will affect existing factories too since they need constant maintenance), the effects will start to show and it will be back to choosing between Samsung, WD and Micron again.

PS: For WD fans the SN770 2TB has just dropped to $120 at newegg

I just grabbed one. The prices are getting crazy low for these. Not sure where the bottom is but I'll jump in for a 2TB with these good specs. I was also happy that adding the heatsink was only another $10 bucks... and didn't throw off the Amazon pricing algorithm.

Heat sinks are easy to buy and install for less than $10. If that's too much for you to handle, then you can pay more to buy a unit that has one installed for you. Simple as that, no need to whine.

I agree why are only the 2 tb dropping? 4 tb is such a terrible deal now because how much 2 tb has dropped. Anyone have any ideas why they are keeping 4 th so high?

To sell more 2TB. If they lowered the 4TB they would sell less 2TB. Maybe they have too much stock, who knows just a theory
