    I use several of these and this is a very good price. These are fully manageable via the web interface without any additional software or licenses. They support all the basic things you would need for a small home office or small business. I did have one struck by lightning and it did fry a couple of the ports, I didn't try to do a warranty claim because it was a lightning strike but I have used netgears warranty for other stuff and was very happy. Repped and TU

    yes, but you either need one of the more powerful POE switches that is capable of powering remote switches and APs or you could make your own setup where you use an injector and extractor for POE to the POE switch.

    How does this one compare to Netgear Prosafe 8-port Gb, 4-Port POE (GS108PE) [amazon.com] for $60? Picked that one up for $60 on a previous deal and still haven't opened it yet. That one only has 4 ports POE, but has a business-class lifetime warranty.

    Good deal, I recently got the TP-Link TL-SG108PE V3 [amazon.com] (8 Port Gigabit, 4 PoE+ Ports @64W) for $63. Actually it's still that price on Amazon.com. Save a few bucks if you only need 4 POE+ ports. Also has a limited lifetime warranty as opposed to 3 years for this on.

    Amount of power available for devices connected to it. The one you have GS108PE is POE (IEEE 802.3af standard). The one in this deal, GS308EP, is POE+ (IEEE 802.3at standard).
