Results show 67 for Samsung 980 pro vs 58 for Samsung 970 evo plus. Thumbs up from me. I have " MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI" and it states it's compatible but the watt range is suspect. I think it's ok but not sure if I'm willing to learn how to move my OS easily to a new ssd. I have boot issues where it takes my computer 10 minutes to start up.

Also not sure if the cost-benefit makes sense to spend on 2tb. Do ppl use this for Xbox series x or ps5?

You can use the 980 pro for the ps5 but not xbox series x whereas you can't use the 970 on either. This also has better warranty then the 970.

Samsung needs to lower their prices. The ssd market is much more competitive now and Samsung's products don't really stand out any more. I know not everyone needs the speed of gen4 drives, but paying $150 for a gen3 drive just doesn't make sense considering there're bunch of gen4 drives often on sale for the similar price.
