Definitely not the same specs. Up to each user to decide if the additional specs of the 4850 are worth the price.

This site [keypointintelligence.com] has a good chart with the key differences between the various models.

The lack of auto-duplex printing seems to be the biggest difference in the cheaper 4800. That makes it a non-starter for me.

Even better at the Costco stores around here. $199 for another week. The biggest disadvantage for the 4800 seems to be that lack of dual sided printing unless you manually flip the paper.
