Tempting for one of these one of those stores are like 40 miles from I wonder If thats too far

Just go to your closest store and order it for pickup. You'll have to go twice but assuming the distance and time is less, makes more sense.

wa able to get the last open box without remote or cables for 60... i have a universal remote and plenty speaker wire so its a win for me.
60 is a steal - it must have been classified as "poor" or something. Excellent is coming back like $155 on clearance. Note that with universal remote, navigating the setup menus (unless you have like a Harmony remote where you can program those buttons in) may be difficult, but you can get a replacement remote off ebay cheap (the cheapest are chinese knockoffs but they usually work fine).

Anyone using this for gaming as well
On ps5 and Xbox? Also I thought these units were a thing of the past compared to the newer setups that are wireless or soundbars that take less space. I'm surprised how many people bought this. Not knocking it just thought stereo receivers were a relic in todays day.
This can do sound for gaming, although it won't do it very well, at least by modern standards. (The last 5.1 setup I used was decades ago.) A sound bar is also passable for some folks, but there are massive sacrifices.

While it's a labor of love, there's nothing like a fully dedicated setup; running a quality center for dialogue, 2 mains, front highs, surrounds, high surrounds, multiple subs, and some bass shakers under the couch! Smilie

Hi I am new to this I have two questions if someone would be kind enough to help me understand:
1) does the bluetooth mean that each speaker connects to the receiver through bluetooth or in other words, no need to run wires? Or does it mean it will connect to my phone and play whatever my phone is playing?
2) In light of this being a 5.1 system, I was wondering if I need anything extra to connect it to my low-tech TV, My TV has the following specs:
Composite Video Input 1
Ethernet 1
Headphone Input 1
Optical Digital Output 1
Total Built-In Input Slots 6
Total Built-In Output Slots 2
Tuner Type ATSC/NTSC
USB 1 (Supports Multimedia: Photos,Video & Audio)
VGA Output 0
Wi-Fi Dual Antenna Wi-Fi (MIMO), Dual-Band
HDMI 4 HDMI 2.0 (1 ARC)
Thank you in advance for reading and replying.

Just pick up the last one from Culver city LA. I drove down to compton BB earlier this morning because online shows 1 instore there. Got to store and found out they had the higher model popping instock instead of the OP deal. We search for availability using the correct SKU this time and found Culver city with the sale price. Paid and pick up just now. No problem at all. Make sure go to the register and give them the SKU!
Can you please let us know about how is the setup performing. May be a brief review after you set up the whole thing

This vs. the Q800b Samsung Dolby Atmos Soundbar? Ordered that for $260 on Buydig but wondering if this deals better? That retails insane at $900+ and sells for $600

1) you need to connect all speakers with wire. Bluetooth is to connect your or phone or something for input 2.) you can conenct optical from tv to receiver or if you have ARC then that too. I just connected mine using optical and then changed to eARC so i can use fire-stick remote for both receiver fire-stick and tv. also you can connect firestick and all directly to receiver as it has 4 hdmi and use eARC output from receiver to tv

It is this price at every store, they just put in the order and the price automatically comes up at the clearance price.
