Had mine around 3 years now. Great router. i have it near the middle of my 2300sqft 1 story home, 6 feet high. Covers all my outside wifi cameras on all sides of the house with no issues in 3 years.

For a few dollars more you can get the regular version refurbished rather than used. The one I got appeared to be a repackaged new one.

PSA your old router likely tops out the bandwidth limit for your internet. This may give you a few more feet of range but nothing else

Only if your on plans around 500Mbps, anything over that like 800 or 1000Mbps in most cases you are not unless you are using a high end wifi 6 router.

If no AiMesh point has to go through it, no, it will only have slower speeds for the devices on it. All the other Independent AiMesh points will have their full capabilities.
