Synology with Intel Celeron CPUs support hardware accelerated transcoding. They can transcode 1080p Blu-ray rips. They will struggle to transcode and tonemap 4K HDR Blu-ray rips. They will fail miserably if subtitle burning is required when transcoding. Subtitle burning uses the CPU, even if using hardware accelerated transcoding. The Celeron CPUs simply are not strong enough.
If you need to transcode 4K HDR media or multiple 1080p streams, consider using the NAS for storage and running Plex Media Server on a PC running Windows or Linux. The PC should have a Nvidia GPU (1050 or better) or Intel QuickSync graphics in the CPU (8th Gen CPU or newer). Plex does not support hardware accelerated transcoding with AMD GPUs or on ARM based systems.

- Are these good for say use 2x of these inside computer for auto backup every night? (Use SSD for daily work and storage, but use these drives as backing up and daily storage and clone, using 2X of these)
