I strongly disagree. I use these frequently and they do a great job of bringing pimples to a head and absorbing whats in them (oils/etc) I mostly get them from the dollar tree though, $1.25 for 20ish patches of 2 different sizes.

Think of these as small, expensive bandages. They are not medicated, nor do they do anything other than cover up a blemish. If you have popped a pimple, these would be good to keep stuff out of them, but they won't do a thing to an existing pimple or acne.

For a pimple? Salycilic acid is effective and an incredibly slick deal.

Also good for bum-roids. Slickdeal: use Face wash instead of Tucks.

Benzoyl peroxide cream for spots. If you've got a bad case then go see a dermatologist for stronger options. Salicylic acid is helpful for preventing them.

They don't? 3m has patches that like absorb the oils via the patch to reduce the amount under skin. I figured these would too.

They are all the same thing, but they are so thin and small that the amount they can absorb is miniscule.

Depends on the skin condition. If you have severe acne, prescription accutane.

Topical creams should only be used for small areas.

If it's acne or pimples, apply the lowest concentration of benzoyl peroxide cream using a qtip and cover with a small bandage for a few hours. That's only if you aren't sensitive to the ingredients. There are also benzoyl peroxide face washes, but they will bleach anything and everything, so their use should be controlled.

Glycolic acid or Salycilic acid toner / face wash is a good way to treat problem skin, but it will take time to show results.

Sometimes it's best to seek a dermatologists advice, if topical treatments aren't showing results.

What are you talking about? Do you know what a hydrocolloid patch does? If this is anything like the ones from CosRX then it brings out the head of the pimple above the surface so you don't have to pop it.

Holy shit, you actually have no idea what you're talking about, and yet you're so confident about your answers it's actually hilarious. People, google hydrocolloid dressing/patches absorption.

I bought these when they previously came up on here. Totally useless for me. Used about half a box hoping they would work but no improvement at all for existing pimples. Ditched the rest.

I wouldn't recommend this. You're better off buying that pink powder in liquid like badescu. The cheaper one on amazon works even better. It works wonders and eliminates acne without scarring. It lasts a long time too.

Everyone's skin is different! For me, Badescu is too harsh and drying. It ends up making my pimple look crustier with little improvement. It also left me with scarring Frown Pimple patches have worked waaay better for me and also adds a protective layer that isn't very noticeable so I can wear it during the day and even at work! Also no scarring! YMMV!

I find it amusing that your reply to me does not state any facts, just bs.

Yes, please Google hydrocolloid dressings, and one of the top results states:

'The reasons for these frequently cited characteristics are not always based on research evidence.' So marketing, but you do you and keep being wrong.

The facts are:
-Hydrocolloids are moisture-retentive dressings, which contain gel-forming agents.
-They form an absorbent, self-adhesive, waterproof barrier, when exposed to moisture.
-In the presence of a wound, hydrocolloids absorb liquid and form a gel, which seals out debris and can aid in less scarring. It's also allows moisture to pass.

You've probably seen clear waterproof bandages on store shelves, which these are, just tinted.

While you can place them on top of a pimple, they work best on an open wound and aid in healing / scar reduction.
