It's a VA panel, but a good VA panel.
The response time is 4ms. Personally, I couldn't tell you that three-thousandths of a second make much difference for most gamers, but whatever.
HDR is trash on this monitor. Don't bother. SDR is excellent and very bright though.
It is not GSYNC compatible. If you're getting high enough FPS, it's no big deal anyway. Speaking of which, make sure you have a good enough GPU to handle high frame rates at this resolution. I'm on a 3090Ti FE and getting about 120-150 in COD with fairly high settings. GeForce experience settings optimizer is your friend if you're not experienced with this resolution.
It makes some plasticky popping sounds when the screen turns on and off. Samsung says this is normal because of the expansion and temperature change on such a massive screen.
If you do PBP (where you use two different inputs and split the screen) you cannot use any gaming settings, like low input lag, and you are limited to 100Hz. Literally just found that out today.
As someone mentioned above, some older games don't work well with this resolution. Some will say they support it, but menus are messed up. Almost all games from the last 5 years or so seem to work.
That's all I have right now. I'll update if I think of anything else that might be helpful.

Costco CRG9: LC49RG92SSNXZA
LG CRG9: LC49RG90SSNXZA
LG G9: LC49G97TSSNXDC (< $700 from last year's Samsung BF sales)
I suggest you look at the photos in the RTINGS review Design section to visualize this.
The base depth of the CRG is 12.4 inches; adding the display itself the unit is 13.8 inches deep.
The base depth of the Odyssey G9 is 12.8 inches; adding the display itself the unit is 16.3 inches deep.
The base depth of the Odyssey Neo G9 is 12.7 inches; adding the display itself the unit is 16.5 inches deep.
My CRG9 is on a desk that's 30 inches deep, and I believe that's roughly ideal.

Do I play in 50"TV or 49" curved monitor? Let's burn some cash for new monitor
I ended up ordering the CRG for $688 through a recent SlickDeal in November. It's primarily for work (documents, spreadsheets, research, etc.), but it also allows me to have an immersive gaming environment in my downtime. I would have loved to have gotten the Neo G9 for future-proofing, but I couldn't justify the expense.
I needed to replace multiple monitors and the CRG9 was better suited to that than a normal ultrawide would have been. My particular use case involves sharing via MS Teams and making use of PBP on my work machine to avoid having to install FancyZones or Samsung's Easy Settings Box. On my personal machine, I can easily use such software and I don't do screensharing, anyway.
With the CRG9 at the price I paid ($688 - 12% cashback), I replaced my 3 old 1080p monitors, enjoy much better framerates and resolution, and entirely remove the bezels. My other option was to get the Dell S3422DWG to replace my oldest screen and keep using the other two.
The Odyssey Neo G9 (240 Hz, 1000R curve, mini-LED) has often been on sale for $1151-$1200 and the Odyssey G9 (240 Hz, 1000R curve, essentially the same bad local dimming as the CRG9) has often been on sale for $700-$800.

For anyone wondering this monitor will also overclock to 144hz. I dont know what the hate is around VA, the screen isnt going to look like an OLED, but for 95% of people using it, it will be perfect if you want the screen space
