Yeah, it sure seems like we're getting very close to a consumer discretionary spending inflection point. You can only say "wait a minute, come on" so many times, before the wallet just finally closes. I think a lot of people will soon start closing their wallets. These shrinkflation type "deals" might motivate a couple people that absolutely need some bits, and a couple sockets to open their wallets, but for anyone else this is not a deal for $62.

I thought shrinkflation would have come into play last year, but then I heard on the radio that consumer debt rose a couple of billion dollars in the last few months.

I suspect that all those people that thought their student loans were going to be forgiven have gone on spending sprees?

This should really be called a ~40 USEFUL piece kit. There are so many completely pointless socket and hex key sizes in here.

The little box is for the drill and impact bits. I have this kit in my car and it's actually pretty decent. I just used it yesterday on some stuff I'm my office. Was actually thinking "these ratchets might be nicer than my main ones I use at home, maybe I should switch them out". I think this Dewalt kit is better than the $59 clearance one Home Depot has had.
