I have this one installed in my Acura Rdx 2018. Work great so far.
Pro: BB installed and program my manufacture fob so I can remote start with the compustar fob or my original Acura fob
Con: There is only one fob compustar provide with this purchase. The module drain battery very fast. (I have the one w/o LTE installed in other Acura, the battery depleted after 3 weeks). If I don't drive the car a week, the battery is deplete , the car need jump start.

Been waiting for a compstar deal to drop, but I'll need to pass. I don't plan to use a drone subscription unless there is a free option that allows me to take advantage of it. Guess I still need to wait more.

Great deal. I bought this when it was $350, works perfectly fine on my Honda CRV. I bought 5 years of Drone for $180 (basic subscription), perfect for when I'm at work or apartment and I start the car that's blocks away. No complaints about the device or the installation (though scheduling it was a pain in the ass, they cancelled it twice).

what is a drone? some kind of remote services?

can they program the compustar fob to replace my car fob? my key fob is falling apart and they wanted $375 for an extra key.

Drone is a cellular remote feature. Controlled from your phone. Subscription required.

Also compatible with Google and Alexa.

Has anyone heard, owned/installed the remotes start product from a company called Start-x? It is a plug-n-play system that plugs into the start harness on your vehicle and the obdll port (I think). Price seemed to varied depending on your vehicle. For my 2013 MDX, the basic package is $189 on Amazon, with exactly 1 review. I keep missing out on these deals from Best Buy for $299-$319 so, kind of frustrating!! Anyways, chime in if you know anything about Start-X remote starter system. TIA!!

Does anyone know if I could purchase this kit full price from Best Buy, and the same kit for the sale price on eBay THEN have them install it and "return" the full price one while still keeping the eBay one installed in the vehicle?

I would not install my own remote starter, especially one with few reviews and not a known brand. Can screw up a lot of things. Just put a notification for "Compustar" on slickdeals, these deals are very, very common, pretty much the regular price.

I think you technically could since the parts are separate from installation, but never know until you try it. I would just wait for the next sale from BB, I don't think eBay can beat the price.
