Wifi speeds are becoming like megapixels on cameras. After a certain point there's not much more benefit. I have the WiFi 5 version Nest, a 500Mb internet connection, and get the full 500Mb from all of my laptops/tablets. My buddy has the same system with a 1Gb connection and gets around 900Mb on wifi.
The is a great mesh system, it's very cheap, and is going to be a great choice if you need wireless.
