I don't think you'll notice the speed difference much at all. No, it's not a 2-pack. The other item shown is the heatsink.

I wouldn't thumbs down this deal as:
1) This NVME SSD has DDR4 DRAM.
2) It includes a heatsink valued at $20.

Can you fit that heatsink in a PS5?
It's a PCIe Gen 4 SSD, so it should be good enough for a PS5 in that respect.

DDR4 DRAM for what? This has one of the slowest write speeds I've seen on a Gen 4 SSD. 1800MB/s is pathetic.

DDR4 DRAM "Cache". It didn't specify the size in the Tom's Hardware review - https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...ssd-review

Typically cache in a SSD speeds up writes. I'll have to read Tom's reviews to see if they got the same slow write speeds.

And 200TBW Endurance? RUN AWAY! Wink

What a hilariously oversized heatsink for such a hilarious slow NVME drive.

The SSD is a Gen 4 and will work with PS5 with no problems. But the HEATSINK is too big and won't fit in the PS5. You will need a third party ps5 size heatsink. I got a cheap one for like $6 on Amazon. There's many made specifically for PS5.

Not all Gen 4 are recommended for PS5:
Sequential read speed 5,500MB/s or faster is recommended

https://www.playstation.com/en-us...ll-m2-ssd/

Also, in general, if the drive is DRAM-less it probably won't hit its tested speed in PS5.

Is this faster than a high end Gen 3 drive?

QLC yikes. Teamgroup TLC drives are $42. Why overpay 1.5X for worse trash? QLC drives need to com down to $25-30 to be competitive.
