Yeah but given that its QLC its not like you'll be able to generate any heat longer than like 10 seconds anyways~

There's no reason this couldn't be, and for most people they wouldn't have any issues with it. If you're usage involves a lot of hard drive intensive write operations (using several different programs at the same time, for instance, requiring lots of swap file operations) or plan on doing professional photo or video editing then this will show bottlenecks compared to better ones. But the latter case also requires a motherboard that makes sense for using a better SSD.

That heatsink is way overkill for this drive which is barely gen 4 speeds.
