You can not have more than 1 Sapphire card at the same time, and you can not get a new Sapphire signup bonus if you received one on any Sapphire card in the last 48 months.
For anyone debating on whether to go for this, know that the all time high is 100k bonus points, making this a very lucrative opportunity.
You can- I've seen YMMV reports about how many days you need to wait between cancelling and new application though.
Also things to keep in mind:
Use any credits you might have on existing card you haven't used yet.
Insure you move your UR points to a different card before closing old one.

Are you all getting pre or instant approval? Went to a branch office this morning to apply and they said every app takes 24-48 hours, possibly 1-2 weeks depending on what they find.
I sent a SM via the online portal to see if they could upgrade my offer to the 80K as I applied for the 60K offer 3 weeks ago, and an agent looked into it and responded:
"Let me share that the sign up bonus offers keep on changing and may vary from time to time. There is a possibility that there could be multiple ongoing offers for the same product at the same time promoted through different channels. In order to take advantage of a particular offer, you need to click on the link attached with that particular offer or apply through that particular channel. If the application is completed via any other link, or through any other channel, the offer applied on your account may not be the same."
It was worth a shot.
Try again you may get a different rep. They've had no problem matching me on two different occasions before

Nevermind, checked my account after a couple meetings and it already shows in there so seems like a formality. Now just have to get the points!
One way to also check after downgrading from Sapphire to any other if you are eligible to apply again for Sapphire, After logging in to Chase, go to credit cards and see which ones show up under Personal cards available. I downgraded on 3/21, and was not seeing any Sapphire product show up there. As of today 3/27, I am seeing both Reserve and Preferred show up. So looks like I would now be eligible to apply for it. I will confirm after going in to the branch tomorrow.
Lemme know if it panes out. I was advised to wait 30 days for in-branch applications

I downgraded regular Sapphire to Freedom 2 weeks ago. I went in last week and banker showed me his screen that the only cards available for me were Slate and Freedom. I'm under 5/24 rule
I can confirm... Got mail last Friday, signed up online using their code and immediately approved.... 4k spend threshold. Confirmed via message center that I've had no csp in last 48 months and that the 100k/4k offer stuck.
I did get a $600 on us mail that was likely bank account (sorry mail is shredded) so can anyone share what the image of the mailer looks like, of course unless its inside an envelope. Would Chase messaging would know?
On the other hand, is this a better deal or Capitol One which is similar but lounge access too. I will need to transfer points to British Avios.

Update as of few mins ago: I was not eligible to get the card in the branch. The rep called the Chase line and they said to wait 30/60 days after product change to be eligible. Interestingly I still see the 60k offer available online for the CSP. Thinking if I should apply and ask for matching bonus

When you downgrade, does the balance rewards get affected (or) gets transferred to the new downgraded card ?
I got a pre selection in mail for this. But I have couple of hard checks in last 24 months for car loan and mortgage. Can someone please comment should I apply for this considering rule 5/24

Mortgage loan and car loan last June, here. I applied and got approved for southwest & a capital one card after that. Before that, I know I opened a AA card and a Citi custom card. I recently got turned down on an ihg card, because of "too many recently opened accounts on my credit report." If you only have a car loan and mortgage within 2 years, I would say you'd be ok, I don't know what other factors come into play with your history though? The best spot to look in order to determine your 5/24 count is your credit report. Your credit report will show the credit card accounts you've opened and when you opened them. From there it's just about doing a bit of math. Count 24 months back from the day you're checking your report.
