Mojave Outdoor Gear has the Kizer Begleiter in brown color at 50% off when added to cart. This is the older model I believe but looks like a decent knife for a good price.
Correct me if I'm wrong but this doesn't have the smooth deploy action like the Begleiter 2. At least that's what I gathered from a couple YouTube reviews.

I think you are correct, the Begleiter has bearings and this version has bushings, I don't own one yet but for the price I figured I would give it a shot.
Not a bad knife. This is a pretty good knife. But after experiencing the updated Begleiter with ceramic bearings, this old stock just can not compete.
According to this reviewer they both use bushings but ceramic one was better. I don't own any to qualify the statement so take this with a grain of salt.

Mine is like BUTTER, sooo smooth. Prob my smoothest action. Got the 2 also, and yeah that thing is another level with the bearings, but the feel is just different. The 2 almost slams shut it drops so fast, this one glides like a (insert fav inappropriate metaphor). I don't care for the blue color, prob will RIT dye mine

I have both. This one is noticeably heavier. It uses thicker metal everywhere, and should be more sturdy. It doesn't oen as easily as the 2, but the 2 is incredibly easy.
