I was just looking up the same, the 641 does not have an ADF, so there is no Duplex Printing nor scanning.

For Duplex Printing, you'll need to upgrade to the MF642Cdw
For Duplex Printing & Scanning, you'll need to upgrade to the MF644Cdw

I think he means automatic scanning in bulk. It definitely has a scanner up top (it's an AIO after all).

For duplex printing you want a model number that has a D in it. So MF###CDW. Where MF= Multifunction, C = Color, D = Duplex, W = Wireless. Duplex also means it has an auto feeder I think

I've had this printer for about a year. It's basic, but it's reliable and works everytime.
Off brand toner is $50.

i originally placed an order for this during the last sale, then realized no duplex or document feeder on the scanner... picked up a MF642CDW from BestBuy for 275$ (was on sale for 299$, had 10% off through Citi or maybe Chase, I forget), not the best deal, but really needed a new printer and i'd been holding out forever.

As already mentioned, you have to watch out for the long term cost of these things. I am quite happy with my canon ink tank version of this, with auto duplex scanning. Very likely cheaper in the long run, even when not on sale.

I would have gone for this but I opted for the Brother color laser printer posted last week as Brother has very good Linux support. Whole reason I upgraded from my "Dell" (Xerox) Phaser printer I bought five years ago. This one looks to be pain to setup in Linux.

Pretty much all printers you can get a low-cost generic toner on Amazon. I've found the generics to work pretty well with laser printers.
