The price for 1st TWO years of 1.2 TB internal data usage plan (other than states in Northeast markets of USA).
For 1.2TB/month of data
- $35 per month if you want a paper bill and to pay by CC.
- $30 per month if you want to autopay by CC.
- $25 per month if you auto withdraw from bank account.
For Unlimited data for most states in USA, you need to pay another $10 for the Xfinity xFI Complete
- $45 per month if you want a paper bill and to pay by CC.
- $40 per month if you want to autopay by CC.
- $35 per month if you auto withdraw from bank account.
AFTER two years, the two year promotion end and promotion discount for the xFi Gateway is gone. So add $38 for the two year promotion for the plan and then add $15 for the xFi Complete.
AFTER TWO years for Unlimited data (xFi Complete)
- $98 per month if you want a paper bill and to pay by CC.
- $93 per month if you want to autopay by CC.
- $88 per month if you auto withdraw from bank account.

My wife and I take turns putting the account in our names every 2 years. We just alternate.
You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage
However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions[reddit.com])***.
If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.
For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

What do you mean their "system" sent you an XB7 ? Did you request it on the website or it did it automatically?
Automatically. When I first got the service, the rep told me 200Mbps plan can only be used with the XB3. Their system won't allow them to order any other modems.
I have been going back and forth with the social media reps trying to get one shipped. Seems like no matter what they do it does not go through.
Have you had issues with the XB7, I see a lot of complaints about the device on the internet
Nope. Zero issue with it as the modem. I have my own firewall and mesh wifi so the built-in wifi isn't heavily used.
The XB7 speed is solid and stable.

Cool. Thanks. I plan on using it for wifi too since even the xb3 wifi is superior to my Asus RT68U that is several years old. Maybe they worked out some of the bugs with firmware updates
It says I have 90 days to sign up for Xfinity Mobile to get the discount but not sure what plan would make sense for an individual. I can jump on a friends plan and get $30 unlimited but then I dont think Id qualify for discount
Yes, you need to add mobile line and activate/port in it within 90 days of home internet contract. If I remember correctly, unlimited plan will give $20 discount on your home internet plan. While other mobile plan with data cap will be $10 discount. (Check the small letter T&C) Unlimited data plan from Xfinity is less competitive compared to low-cost providers, (say mint, occasional offer for $15/mo or normally $30/mo; but there are also cons they only want prepaid which you can't get mobile device protection from credit card benefit etc.) . If you use Xfinity internet and consider to change mobile provider, it can be worth to combine those promos together. Honestly, there are other "better" mobile device deals, some offers instant discount and does not require 24 months installments. If you plan to use home internet and mobile for next 2 years, it can be worth.
Just got a flyer in the mail saying $25 yet the site and in-store is still telling me $35. (northern Atlanta suburbs)
In-store also had no idea if the xFi Complete upgrade improves upload speed or not or if it requires different equipment.
In-store also said I my address is "Disconnected" so there would be a $100 fee for someone to come reconnect.
Anyone here actually know what's going on before I roll the dice?

To follow up, they could not find the $25/mo deal even though they sent me a flyer. But I fell for it anyways and signed up for the $35/mo deal. Xfinity's Reddit says xFi Complete is not required for 100Mbps upload but does require XB6, XB7, or XB8 so I chose in-store pick-up to ask about getting the XB7. The guy said it normally requires a faster speed plan but he would try. It worked, he said, and gave me a XB8. Turns out he added xFi Complete (+$25/mo) to my plan without my knowledge, so I went back to store in which they were unable to undo what he did, only option now is to cancel and get a 12 month deal (24 month is gone). He also tried to gaslight me into thinking I agreed to all this. I ended up cancelling everything and returning the equipment (BTW the XB8 wouldn't get a signal despite nothing ever changing on my end so I would need a $100 support tech to investigate). Hope that helps someone.
Signed up for gigabit in South San Jose for $50/mth for 24 mths no contract with my own router. Auto pay with bank account. 1.2 TB per mth data usage cap
