If your upgrading a computer that has a mechanical hard drive with one of these, it's the difference of waiting a full minute for the computer to turn on, to waiting only 15 seconds for the computer to turn on with the mx500 ssd

For probably the 3rd best 2.5" SSD in this category (barely behind EVO 860 & EVO 870), that is a great price!
we might finally see 25 cents/gig

I'm stick with Teamgroup EX2, lower price and high induration (1TB/2TB: 800TBW/1600TBW).

Everyone's use case is different. Are you actually planning on writing that much? The MX500 is considered the higher quality of those two drives. This SSD should easily go 10 years and not hit the TBW limit, and that's assuming the drive is kept for that long and not upgraded.

since i switched to tmobile internet at average 40-120 mbps speed from cable at 400 mbps, i feel like its a great idea to be able to dl games overnight etc and store them for easy retrieval later. but then again still, do I REALLY need it? maybe...i already have a external 1tb hdd on there.
at least its available locally via bb so i could pick it up tmrw.
just greedy at that point but i feel like i'd pull the trigger on 2tb for 50.
