For folks asking about the 12 months of service part, all of that is answered in the original thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/16487416-mint-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-7-unlocked-smartphone-12-month-4gb-plan-289-recovery-fee-port-in-required-free-s-h?page=76#commentsHeader

tldr: Needs to be a ported in number. GV works (create a new gmail account, pay google $3 to port out). People who dont care about the 12 months mint service can just discard the activation kit and treat this as a $289 unlocked phone.

Oh - I see it as a non-factor. Most are getting the deal (seemingly) for the good price on the phone. I don't even want the plan shipped with it, was able to flip it for $50 bucks.

I don't feel comfortable selling a cell phone number that is registered under my name. How do you transfer the number tied to the sim you are selling?
I ordered without any info whatsoever. Literally just ordered the phone, so nothing is tied to the SIM card yet. When you crack open the sim and paperwork, you (or whoever bought the sim from me) registers it with Mint at that time.

Thank you! Was waiting for this deal to restock! Probably will just sell the sim.

I ordered an hour ago the review email, but no follow up yet. Should I be worried? What exactly is being reviewed here…

Fingers crossed, but this wasn't my experience. Paid with Paypal, different shipping and billing addresses. Got the "reviewing your order" email, then my bank threw up a fraud alert. Cleared it with them immediately, and about 30 minutes later got the "Your Mint Mobile order has been received" email, which also said confirmed in the body. Think that means it worked?

Hopefully I'll get it and it will all work out. Been checking the Mint page daily for the deal, and just happened across it by pure luck before I even saw it on this site.
Seems like you're good, now that you got the confirmed email.
Wish my previous orders went through far enough for me to clear it with my bank. But both times I called the bank, and they said they saw a pre-authorization, but that's it, and no holds or fraud issues. At least in my circumstance it just gets automatically help up at Mint, and all their reps tell me is that I MUST make a new order, no matter if sold out or not, and they blame it on the differing addresses.
Been refreshing that page for days and days now, too.
Hopefully this works for all of us, had enough of the frustration and waiting.

I'd say yes, you should be worried if all you have is their garbage reviewing email, it's not good yet, if at all.
Best to call the number from the order confirm or status page. Then get an answer as to what to do next.
I tried calling the number in the review email, and that kept me on hold for over 1.5 hours with no answer.

bought one to try the phone out. 3:50pm PST

I think I'll probably trade it in for the Pixel 8 Pro if it releases with a flat display.

Other than this deal, how's the service with Mint in general.

I have a Samsung Note 20 ultra with T-Mobile right now on a $65/month unlimited plan (grandfathered from Sprint days). However, I don't use the phone much as I use my work iPhone 11.

The Samsung is out of contract and paid off.....I'm thinking of downgrading to a bare min (maybe like $20/month) service. I'm in Sacramento...

Cheers.

Tq yes 12 months is only for portin. If not it's 6 months.

Did u watch the movie?
So far we have multiple confirmation when activate the SIM card and the "12-month" plan, mint mobile activation site will force you to port-in phone number in order to complete the activation of the 12-month plan. There is no option to get a new phone number during the activation process.

Not true. While you try to activate the sim it will pop up forcefully to portin and mentions if you don't want to portin you need to call the customer care number to get the new number and activate only for 6 months. This is what I saw when I processed mine

is there a time limit to activate the sim
You have 45 days to activate the SIM/plan. Actually they will email and remind you about the last day to activate the plan.

We assume the SIM and plan is not associated with any email since when you activate the plan, you will need to provide all the necessary info including email.

But before the SIM/plan is activated, at least the email you order this package WILL get email reminder if you haven't activated the SIM/plan yet.

I'd settle for having color selections.

The black ones are fingerprint magnets.

I did the StraightTalk trade in to BB on the Pixel 7 instead, got white ones that way.
these are also slippery as f***. just ordered one, assuming its good, I'll sell mine that i paid $600 for and broke after it fell on the ground and shattered.

When I activated back in March 1st, if I remember correctly, it only said you can call to ORDER ANOTHER plan that don't require port-in. It doesn't say you can activate this bundled plan with new phone number.
So when did you activate your plan that got that message? And have you "actually" call in to confirm that is the case?

If you read the previous Pixel 7 thread, no one mentioned they were able to get new phone number.
