For folks asking about the 12 months of service part, all of that is answered in the original thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/16487416-mint-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-7-unlocked-smartphone-12-month-4gb-plan-289-recovery-fee-port-in-required-free-s-h?page=76#commentsHeader

tldr: Needs to be a ported in number. GV works (create a new gmail account, pay google $3 to port out). People who dont care about the 12 months mint service can just discard the activation kit and treat this as a $289 unlocked phone.

Oh - I see it as a non-factor. Most are getting the deal (seemingly) for the good price on the phone. I don't even want the plan shipped with it, was able to flip it for $50 bucks.

Been using the one I got the last time it was on sale. Phone didn't like my tmo sim they sent when I was still on sprint, but got the esim to work just fine. Been taking a bit to get use to after having Samsung phones for so long.

like others in the last deal I had some issues with tracfone sim but of course YMMV. It's not a big deal but incoming text wouldn't work for me. I'm going back to my Galaxy S20+ For Dummies. It automatically downloads a config file for new service and restarts The P7 screen is pretty bland compared to Sammy colors that pop.

Yes I got a new number but only 6 months.
Strange...I got a new number and it still shows the full 12 months on my plan in the Mint app and when I login to my account on a regular desktop browser, as well.

I'd say yes, you should be worried if all you have is their garbage reviewing email, it's not good yet, if at all.
Best to call the number from the order confirm or status page. Then get an answer as to what to do next.
I tried calling the number in the review email, and that kept me on hold for over 1.5 hours with no answer.
No point in calling the reps just told me that they don't know and should not be worried since I am getting a refund. All my info is correctly inputted and even have same shipping and billing address. Then told me they could help me reorder or I can reorder myself. Also, had the resident rep on the mint mobile subreddit look into my orders but told me he would look into why they got canceled but never got back to me about them.

Today is my 5th attempt so I hope it goes through, but I still got that order review email and its been 2 hours now and no follow up email so I'm thinking its no bueno again. I will be expecting a order refunded email incoming soon.

Thanks OP. I'm going to Asia in the summer and am hesitant about bringing my S22 Ultra in case something happened to the phone. The Pixel 7 will be perfect to use as it's unlocked and takes great photos.

news of Pixel 7a has dampened my enthusiasm a little.
Owning a pixel 7 has dampened my enthusiasm for Pixel phones. I won't buy another.

Since many of us are currently buying one, it might help to explain why so we know what to look for.

What news
Mint Mobile is being acquired by T-Mobile.

But - it's unlikely that there would be any change to the service quality in the next 6 months and the phone is unlocked so you can take it elsewhere after that anyway.

Maybe someone can re-assure me if my master plan will work out. I've been doing "a lot" of reading on this thread Lol.

My AT&T prepaid 16gb $300 12-Month Plan ends around 4/20/2023. If I port-in that AT&T # to Mint, I should be able to get the Mint 10gb 12-Month Plan + the Pixel 7 for around $320 correct? And you have around 45 days to activate the Mint SIM and porting-in right?

Is the Pixel 7 Unlocked, and can be sold at any moment without waiting for the 12-Month service to complete?

Just checked my CC, bill was from T-Mobile

T-Mobile customers have a lot of benefits/specials, wonder if we ex-Mint people will be brought into the "family"

Weird. Both PayPal and my bank show "Mint Mobile".

I would call it a great phone for the money (this kind of money), but not necessarily a great phone.

Guessing he means either the rear camera lens cracking issue or google's delayed update in Dec/Jan.
