For folks asking about the 12 months of service part, all of that is answered in the original thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/16487416-mint-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-7-unlocked-smartphone-12-month-4gb-plan-289-recovery-fee-port-in-required-free-s-h?page=76#commentsHeader

tldr: Needs to be a ported in number. GV works (create a new gmail account, pay google $3 to port out). People who dont care about the 12 months mint service can just discard the activation kit and treat this as a $289 unlocked phone.

Oh - I see it as a non-factor. Most are getting the deal (seemingly) for the good price on the phone. I don't even want the plan shipped with it, was able to flip it for $50 bucks.

Has anyone who ordered Thursday (3/16) seen any movement on status? I'm at 24 hours since I received the "order confirmed" email but my status page says: "No information is currently available". If there's some sort of hold up/error I'd like to be able to fix this/order while they're still in stock.
Ordered on 3/16. Haven't received anything since the confirmation email, but I just checked the order status page and it has a FedEx tracking number. FedEx shows it as "Label Created" as of around 5:30pm.

Anticipated ship date of 3/20 and arrival Wednesday 3/22, using FedEx 2-day. I just got the standard 3-5 day free shipping when I ordered.

I thought this was unlocked? Why does it say must bring your number to mint?

That part applies to the plan, not the phone. If you want 12 months of service instead of 6 months, you need to port a number in. If you don't care about the service and just want the phone, sell the SIM on eBay or give it away or something.

Thank you so much. So the phone will work with other carriers? I apologize, I'm not very knowledgeable about this. I appreciate your help.

I haven't received mine so I can't speak from personal experience, but from what I've seen on Mint's site (and here) the phone is completely unlocked and should work with any US carrier right away.

I think they changed the wording on the deal, it now says includes 12-month plan at 50% off instead of 6 months + 6 months free with port-in. my guess it's now just activate with port-in or nothing at all.

It has been worded that way since the beginning. If you want 6 months with a new number you have to contact customer service, but it makes no sense to do that when you can pay $3 for a google voice number port and get 12 months.

I could be wrong, but I don't think you can find a flagship phone for anything close to the money. I checked.

I've slightly gone off it, based on the Metro deal for a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE for around $160 ($100 phone + $40 for one month of service + $20 activation). You have to wait 6 months for an unlock, but the phone might be better and you'd pay less in theory. Regardless I don't have buyers regret, yet.

Considering most deals on SD die in a day, they're doing pretty well. It has been in and out of stock for a month or more, hundreds, probably thousands have sold.
