I get it, some people love endlessly wondering in a game, but on what amounts to basically closed map (gate keeping mechanics force you to follow a set path) and a heavy narrative driven story is not the place to do it.

I get it, some people love endlessly wondering in a game, but on what amounts to basically closed map (gate keeping mechanics force you to follow a set path) and a heavy narrative driven story is not the place to do it.
The in game map was also useless. Beautiful, but useless. Some areas appeared to be touching but were not and other areas that were connected looked like distant areas according to the map. So much effort was put into some stuff and it feels like other parts were just phoned in.
