When I look at locations, I see:
Boost Mobile Platinum Retailer
Boost Mobile Branded Retailer
Authorized Retailer
National Retailer
When you refer to shady dealers, are they most likely the authorized and national retailers? Will I be likely to avoid the fees if I go to a Boost Mobile Branded Retailer?

Doesnt matter. They will all screw you over and charge you random fees or make you buy stuff you dont need or make you add stuff to your plan like insurance and make you do the $50/$60 plan and tell you is required. Boost doesnt pay much commission so they have to make money other ways.

Ok, thanks. Sounds like it is better to just do it online.

Even though locked for 12 months to boost, may be worth buying just for trade-in...
Hopefully a deal at MetroPCS for iPhone 12 is right around the corner.

Is it 12 continuous months or can you activate and pay 1 month and let it sit in a drawer?
