I have ordered probably 50+ items in the span of 2 years before it became popular to hate on Newegg and NEVER had an issue with them.
Not a god damn chance. Amazon all the way. Newegg is not trustworthy at all.
I've been ordering from Newegg for almost 2 decades now. Personally never had a problem. But the recent fiascos they've had doesn't look good on them. They certainly lost a lot of public trust. They've acknowledged their mistakes and have said they'll work to regain their customer's trust. In the meantime, all we can do as customers is give them a chance and at the same time keep an eye out for public facing events. No large scale company can have perfect customer service. But by and large looking at consumer opinions and incidental reports you kind of get an idea which companies have good customer service. However, we are not insiders with data that can objectively tell whether a company has good customer service or not. So in the end one needs to take all reports with a pinch of salt and maybe form your own opinion from your experiences.

If Newegg indeed improves their customer service (as they've claimed they'll do), it can only be better for us consumers. Amazon does have good customer service but a monopoly isn't good for any of us. In this case, all other things being equal - Newegg has a better deal (due to the added in game). So I would advise, just go with them, instead of rejecting them over a vague fear of bad customer service.

I am confused about why the complain for newegg return policy. I m not defending newegg, just confused.

If you are buying the gpu and plan to keep it, in case the card breaks, newegg gives you replacement, right?

Then if outside 30 days, you can take it up to the manufacturer.

So the only thing you need amazon returns is if you are not planning to buy the gpu, only to "rent" them like maybe to do comparison test. But you can already see many reviews online, you don't need to do comparison on your own.

So… that's where i get confused.

amazons return system is perfected at this point. Idk any other company where they can scan the item at a UPS store and grant you the refund that day.

This is the same reason when Steve from PowerNexus came knocking at their doors due to their deceptive RMA process. Newegg is not all bad nor is Amazon all good. Amazon has the best return process but if there were no competition then they would definitely lower the standards for stock gains.

Wasn't it GamersNexus? He RMA'd a mobo without ever opening it and they rejected the return because they said he broke it. When they sent him the mobo back it had a gigabyte RMA ticket taped to it inside the packaging dated before his own purchase that had been opened by Newegg. That meant they sent him a board they knew was defective then refused to refund the money when he sent it back. Then they refused to do anything about it until he went public on his channel.

Approximately 50xt. Sorry, I know the 6750 XT is the better card, not sure about the price difference versus performance gain.

yeah but in my case ordered a damaged motherboard that was clearly used with bent pins and was accused by newegg that it was my fault and was told to kick rocks. called my CC company and got a refund through them. Since then I try to avoid them but I build like 10-15 PC's annually so I still order from them when I have no other option. I'd say out of the 50 times I've ordered parts 4 similar incidents happened but now I record opening the boxes with my gopro. 2 of those times I was told again to kick rocks but when I brought out the evidence they were VERY quick to correct the issue.

wow, that's your personal experience? i never thought that i would have to record video when opening the box, but now i want to do it for evidence in case my card is busted.

so i guess you are saying that you ordered new stuff but they sent you used / RMA items? that's very shady, 4/50 is ~10%, that's about 1/10 ratio.

if I remember correctly one of the items was open box "New", clearly they didn't bother to check or it slipped through the cracks. the others items I bought new. Personally I only record myself opening Newegg packages as other places have very forgiving return policies. Last thing I want is getting accused of bricking a 1000+ dollar gpu from a company that has a history of being shady.

Linus is pure reddit, so not worth understanding. People blew some nonsense out of proportion for clickbaits because of tech "social justice" of consumerism channels.

I bought this card for about this price (after rebate) from Newegg about 4 months ago. Card was shipped on time and I have received the rebate from Gigabyte. Like you, I don't get the Newegg hate.

Um, do you mean xenophobic? If you want to use popular, useless buzzwords, check the spelling.

He didn't say anything about Chinese people.

Newegg has definitely fallen from grace compared to the Newegg of old. The return policy on GPU's sucks compared to Amazon. No brainer to buy from Amazon.
Exactly! Anyone accusing him of being sinophobic or xenophobic should probably google his wife before making such useless accusations.

This GPU worth the upgrade from a 2070 Super that mostly plays just 1440 and mostly older games?

I mean the ONLY AAA I want for the next year or so is Starfield.

If I did upgrade I would need a new MOBO I assume since this is AMD

At that price, why not just get the 4070ti for $799

...and now I see the strategy Nvidia is pulling with this greedy BS, and that's why I'm buying ATI next when I upgrade my 2070S
