I have ordered probably 50+ items in the span of 2 years before it became popular to hate on Newegg and NEVER had an issue with them.
Not a god damn chance. Amazon all the way. Newegg is not trustworthy at all.
I've been ordering from Newegg for almost 2 decades now. Personally never had a problem. But the recent fiascos they've had doesn't look good on them. They certainly lost a lot of public trust. They've acknowledged their mistakes and have said they'll work to regain their customer's trust. In the meantime, all we can do as customers is give them a chance and at the same time keep an eye out for public facing events. No large scale company can have perfect customer service. But by and large looking at consumer opinions and incidental reports you kind of get an idea which companies have good customer service. However, we are not insiders with data that can objectively tell whether a company has good customer service or not. So in the end one needs to take all reports with a pinch of salt and maybe form your own opinion from your experiences.

If Newegg indeed improves their customer service (as they've claimed they'll do), it can only be better for us consumers. Amazon does have good customer service but a monopoly isn't good for any of us. In this case, all other things being equal - Newegg has a better deal (due to the added in game). So I would advise, just go with them, instead of rejecting them over a vague fear of bad customer service.

At that price, why not just get the 4070ti for $799

...and now I see the strategy Nvidia is pulling with this greedy BS, and that's why I'm buying ATI next when I upgrade my 2070S

$700 - $800 cards with gimped VRAM. The next RDNA3 cards 7800XT/7800 should come with 16GB. Should expect 6900XT - 6800XT performance. No real value here because 6900XTs were going for low $600s last holiday sales and recently 6950XTs were going for $650. 6800XT was on sale a few times for $520.

4070 ti 12GB ~ 3090 ti - $800
4070 12GB ~ 3080 - $700?
4060 ti 8GB ~ 3070 ti - $600?
4060 8GB ~3070 - $500?
4050 ti? 8GB ~3060ti - $400?
4050? 6GB ~ 3060 - $300?

What happened to all those cratering offers touted by the "Hold the Line" crowd before Black Friday and Christmas? Never materialized.

Dudes, everyone just relax. Live and let live. If you think they're making a mistake, let them. Also, just buy on your credit card and you're protected.

was patiently waiting for 6750 XT to drop below $350....and then an open box MSI MECH 2X RX 6650 XT OC came available for $235.

Had to jump on that...it will tide me over for a good bit as I'm not running 4K monitors yet.

The bonus is when i looked at the receipt the Open-Box purchase qualified for the current AMD REWARD of 'The Last of Us - Part I'

Bonus!!! Smilie

Now if only i can figure out what is making the 5800X3D system I'm putting it in crash when I put games into ULTRA or push the system too hard.

This is very fair. Ordered twice recently with Newegg (one is GPU) and both returned smoothly.
One thing to note is to pay attention to your item's specific return policy. It depends on the seller as well as the item.

I am confused about why the complain for newegg return policy. I m not defending newegg, just confused.

If you are buying the gpu and plan to keep it, in case the card breaks, newegg gives you replacement, right?

Then if outside 30 days, you can take it up to the manufacturer.

So the only thing you need amazon returns is if you are not planning to buy the gpu, only to "rent" them like maybe to do comparison test. But you can already see many reviews online, you don't need to do comparison on your own.

So… that's where i get confused.
you are talking to people on slickdeals. They return items every other day to save a whopping 20 cents!

Should I go for this one or the 6800 for $465? Which is the best bang for my buck and value?
