Yes. I was on the fence, finally got it, glad I did, thought it was fine. The 4K disc seems to represent the Director's artistic intention and the way it looked when it was in theaters 27 years ago. A British guy, "the film colletor" reviewed the movie on his youtube channel. He said he saw it in Colorado on its original run, then never again till he saw the 4K. He claimed the darkness was exactly how he remembered it......almost 30 years ago. Well, a guy commented on the review, said he was a projectionist and remembered working on Heat, said he kept thinking the bulbs had an issue or something as the film seemed darker. Anyway, it appears the 4k is not a mistake, and IMHO the darkness thing is a little overblown. Plus, the included blu ray is brighter, although it doesn't match the original theatrical release as far as artistic darkness goes.
