Thanks OP, decent deal, but holding out for the $75 deal to come back. These make great bike finders!

that is a bummer for me. I don't have any recent travel plans and was planning to use in my kid's backpack and in car. I mostly need to for my kids. I agree i don't understand why people think this is not reasonable.

I went for the used Acceptable at $71. Wish me luck LOL

I think in this case that means "acceptable" for the previous owner to know where your stuff is. I'm joking but this might be one of those types of items that you splurge on "new"

I've been hearing this rumor that AirTag 2.0 should be coming. If so, does anyone know about how far away that would be? Just asking as I won't need them until the end of this year.

Worked well last fall when lost my wallet and was picked up by another when fell out of pocket in a store. Sadly by the time I noticed my wallet was gone I wasn't in that city anymore. When I got home, I contact the local police and they were game to go by where I told them to go. I saw three locations where my wallet was that at the same time every day for a period of a week. They were able to get my wallet back (had no money in it so no loss there.
Glad you had a not-bad outcome. Curious though- isn't a airtag kind of thick for putting in a wallet?

This is stacking up with Discover's 30% off deal. Additional $15 less.
Thanks for mentioning this deal, repped. Discover is offering me 40% off, woohoo

40% discount will be applied on the final order checkout page for the items in your cart that are eligible for the promotion.

Now if Apple could embed an airtag into macbooks... I know it has FindMy, but that requires it to be on, etc. if I'm not mistaken

Eh, ignore the random downvotes for stuff here and on other sites. There are a small number of people (or maybe bots) that thumb down literally everything. You could post a deal for free money, and it would get a few thumbs down. Not sure why it is a thing.... but it is...

Probably some idiot who thinks it's immoral to track your children for the sole purpose of their well-being. The internet is fake and full of morons.

There was a WSJ article on using to track dogs, it works well unless you have a type of dog that can break the holder and swallow it. No danger unless the device leak…. Lithium battery leak is not good for the dog… so there's that risk…
My interest in putting on my 5 month old puppy to take on hunting trips, but I highly suspect (haven't looked) the WSJ article tested in an urban area.

My guess a very rural or remote no-iphones-around area would make it next to useless.

For life meaning you have to change batteries but yes, the idea is right. I have one in my car and its very convenient. The most use I get out of it when I cant find my card in big mall parking lots. I also removed the internal speaker to make it quiet.
But won't it still drain the battery because its still chirping when your SO/anyone else gets in the car without you?

I think it's dumb that we can can't share airtags with anyone. Because I've always wanted to place one in the car that my wife and I share, but she hates the alerts that tell her an airtag is traveling with her which freaks her out but also annoys her to have to silence when she knows it something shared like keys or the diaper bag etc.

Just got these yesterday for an upcoming trip. Hopefully they work well.
Just got back from vacation in Spain, Switzerland and France. It was cool to be able to track my all the check-in luggage coming off the plane and going into the baggage claim area in real time. Of course the only way it work is that there is an Apple iPhone near by to relay the location. By the looks of it, majority of the people around the world have iPhones. ;-)

I believe you can. If you set yourself as the main organizer for all your family Apple devices. Then go to share locations have it shared to all your family members Apple devices. The downside if you consider it, is that you and your family members can track each other location.
