NYTimes had a similar article in February of 2022, which went with the best overall pick was Green Bell, followed by Seki, with their budget pick being Muji.
Byrdie claims that the best budget clippers are in fact Revlon! So that's a win.
Another article over at FashionBeans claimed best overall was Seki, followed by the best budget clippers being Revlon.

Update: Just got to the store and picked it up. It does in fact say "Made in China".

Any links? I have been trying to find a good nail cutter and willing to pay a higher price.
There's a Japanese brand who's name escapes me that is supposedly the best. I picked up some Tweezerman ones though that are pretty nice. About a million times better than these Revlon ones.
I know that they have/had a ton of subsidiaries (Almay, Charles Revson, Cutex, Elizabeth Arden-all in the US), but they also had many outside of the US as they are global and have been for some time. They do indeed have one subsidiary located in Korea (Elizabeth Arden Korea Yuhan Hoesa), as well as one out of China (Revlon China Holdings Limited).
