This isn't a laptop for everyone. It does fulfill a specific set of requirements. If you just want a regular, high-end gaming laptop - there are definitely better options. If you travel, do a lot of presentations on the road, want to game periodically AND has a touchscreen. for me, it checks all the boxes. For most - I don't think so.

You also said the G14 is better, you did not mention the Z13 at all. The G14 doesn't have any tablet capability.

yes g14 is better .... you wanted tablet -- hence z13 as a option. Putting 3050ti with such bad thermals makes no sense to the user experience.

Just got it, seems pretty nice. Keys are lit (unlike some reviews) and it's running cool even with all these new installs I'm doing here
I may try one of those 2.1lbs laptops later, but for the price this is good. My prior one was 2 (now 3) cpu generations behind, the 10th was decent. lenovo yoga c740-14iml
Time will tell if the 12th is better. Seems really smooth on transitions so far, but I'm still loading up stuff

Returned it, and went with a thinkpad x1 nano instead, great new deals on ebay right now.

Laptop is fast and runs cool, also installed Linux for code development. No issues with software.
The wifi chipset (Mediatek mt7922) is pure garbage, hung up laptop, both oses would not boot till I disabled it in BIOS. Reenabling made it work, but performance was flaky.
I replaced with Intel ax210 2230 borrowed from different laptop, working fine for me.
Will test this week, and if it works well, I will reinstall both ones.
