There's your problem. There's a significant difference between the qn85b and qn90b. Qn85b is not worth buying at any price and the qn90b is one of the best tvs out there.

YUP! i had the same issue with Samsung. I got the 75 qn90b a couple months ago and after a few days there developed a big black spot on the tv and had to return it. they have the WORST return policy ive ever seen, and i was dumb enough to try again with the 85 inch...fingers crossed i dont have to return it.

My biggest recommendation is to take pictures of everything, take pictures of the tv as you package it up AND try and call FedEx to confirm they know they need a truck with a lift gate. document EVERYTHING! that's what i did and eventually i got my refund from Samsung, but it was a nightmare.

Thanks for the tip just called FedEx and requested a lift gate. Do you recall how long you waited to receive the refund? Did you have to prove with photos that you sent it??

Nope, i didn't have to provide pictures or anything like that, i just wanted to take pictures showing them i packed everything correctly and that the screen wasn't cracked or anything in case it got damaged in the process of shipping it back. It gets sent to a Samsung repair center and it only took a few days for them to receive the tv once it was sent via FedEx. It took maybe a week total to get the refund back. It wasn't a total nightmare i suppose, i just wish it was easier, but hopefully this info helps out. I wouldn't lose too much sleep over the return as long as u follow the instructions to the "T".

My kitchen lights create the rainbow effect on the TV for anyone sitting off center. Not a big deal to me though as I can dim them or turn off.

I still haven't got the color settings where I'd like. I tried the YouTube video linked earlier and the white text is just too bright. Rtings pretty much used default too. I went back to using intelligent mode for now. Remember to take the plastic off the sensor for that to work right.

Just a heads up. Not all AGS deliveries are bad. Driver called me 30 minutes before arrival and arrived within promised delivery window. Box was in great shape and AGS sent two people to handle the TV with care.

No issues with the TV. I just mounted it and it looks great. I do however feel for those who have issues with the TV and need to return. It seems extremely difficult to put the tv back in the box.

Mine was like that too. However Samsung kept delaying the shipping date, then when I gave them an ultimatum, the date came ahead. Then AGS schedule 1 day after the very first schedule, so I was happy. But then 2 days before arriving AGS sent me an email asking me to schedule another delivery date, as they couldn't deliver on the day promise.
I just ignore that email, and was going to cancel the whole thing if I had to do anything anymore. But the day it was scheduled to come, the driver called me earlier morning, like 7 hours before the schedule time, and told me they could deliver in half an hour. So I got of bed and sure enough 30 minutes later they had 2 people delivering. They even came in and put in a room that I asked to be. Box was in perfect condition, and so far no problems. I noticed in the truck, they had bigger tv than mine 85"...šŸ‘€

I ordered the 75" and it came yesterday. Opened it up today and panel is cracked. Like stated above, worst customer service. Had to reorder at higher price and will get a price match once this one gets returned.

I 100% agree! I think AGS is great!, the problem is with me and where i live is that AGS sends it to some 3rd party hole in the wall delivery company for the last leg of delivery. I had another situation with this 3rd party where they weren't even able to deliver it, so i had to run out there and pick it up myself.

Yea-I guess that's a better way to put it, it's a third party that does the last leg that sucks. Of the three TVs I have had "delivered" by them this is the first I did not have to pickup myself.

I've had 4 Deliveries of the 85QN90B so far. All 4 deliveries AGS third party last mile sent 1 man to handle this big TV. All 4 ended up on panel side down on the dolly. In all instances I had to help carry it into my home. The first 2 deliveries were on separate dates, both arrived with damage on the boxes, and both arrived with damage to the TV. Anywhere from more than surface scratches that the protective plastic couldn't bare. Further in, both TVs suffered heavily from DSE, i'd estimate at last 30-40% of the entire panel. Both returned. On the more recent deliveries, 2 of them were delivered again by 1 man, and no lift gate. So the guy had to orient it vertical and rotate downward onto his dolly, again panel side face down (box clearly states which is the front). Damage to the boxes were minimal, but there were boot prints all over the top of the box. Some water damage, so whomever walked all over these boxes had wet boots. When speaking to the delivery driver this go around, he explained that they will only send 2 men to deliver a TV if the destination is not on the 1st floor. When I pointed out the shipper instructions by Samsung requiring a mandatory 2 man delivery, he laughed and said, if we followed those instructions, it would take us years to deliver all of the TVs we do day in and day out. He iterated their company policy of only sending 2 men out if not on the 1st floor.

First box unboxed, some surface level scratches and fingerprints everywhere all over the top, side, and bottom of the panel. Definitely some terrible QC in logistics side of Samsung there. Peeling off the protective plastic, the panel was clean of damage. Running DSE tests, only noticeable on the edges, and only if you're looking for it. Probably only accounted for less than 10% total of the panel. The second box which had the boot prints at the top, revealed damaged foam all over the place. Once again some scratches, no dents. Peeling off the protective film revealed damage to the panel. Turning on for DSE test, and there were 2 large bars, one for each side of the panel, about 30% in width each. Ran some 24hr tests overnight from pixel to color, dse, uniformity, etc, and next day was still the same. That's currently being scheduled for pick up later this week.

I will say though, after having gone through 4 shipments, boxing it up is easier than it seems. Not easy at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's truly easy. Just a matter of following the directions written on the box itself alongside the instruction manual provided. The trickiest part is just making sure the foam is placed in the right orientation, so that the plastic lock steps fit smoothly. They come with 4 straps, for return purposes, I only suit it back up with 3 straps, and cut the 4th strap into 3 short pieces to glue, staple, and tape to the other 3 in order to re-use them as proper straps.

The first 2 returns I had, were done by FedEx Freight, and both drivers arrived solo with no straps, a dolly, and a lift. I had to help with those returns as well. On the first very first return, that driver used rope to secure it down, authorized by his manager (he called his boss in front of me). On all 3 calls with FedEx Freight, I did advise them to bring 2 men, a flat bed dolly, and a truck with a lift. More importantly, I advised them the box requires straps or rope. On all 2 occasions so far, FedEx didn't listen to any of that advise. Hoping 3rd time will be the charm.

Maybe you should have refused to help.
They would then have to send someone else or not kept their contract duties to ship the product.

I was really hesitant to try buying directly from Samsung again, but I gotta give credit where it's due. My panel is in excellent condition-I am blown away by this tv!

For watching animated cartoony stuff I would take this over an OLED. The blacks are impressive too! The contrast can't compete with OLED. However, the vibrant colors and the way they combat light in a bright room make it an excellent choice. I have this in my living room and the OLED in a theater room-and I am overjoyed. Feeling very fortunate to have this setup Smilie!
