I just traded a Samsung S9 for $150. Perfect timing, my wife's screen on her S10 just failed. Not an amazing deal, but not horrible for $300 with trade in.

How lenient of an unlock policy? Two I can think of that carried A53 are Tracfone (60 days) and Metro (180 days). Are there better options out there?

Digital sim card. I have the pixel 7 which comes with a regular and an esim. Currently running TMobile on my regular sim card and i gave that free 30 days of service from version deal that was on here a few days ago a try via esim.

A50 also has trading value (upto) 200. With cracked glass, 135. I believe it's still a good value. However, with A50 200 trade, it changes the price to something like 249.99, and then additional those educator discounts of 12.50 which it sometimes removes it.

Is that a good deal with even with 135 trade, ( in case they discover an invisible line going thru the screen), making the phone some 300 plus tax?

Of course, due to the nature of most apps, you will only be able to use the external storage for video or audio files. Almost every Android app will not run properly unless it's running on internal storage.

I suppose if you want to stay Samsung. I'd probably go Pixel 6a at $300 (less, open box) plus still able to sell S9. $300 seems like a lot for this phone after a trade but maybe the S9 value isn't much anyways now?
