Yes. I have this PS4 disc, then upgraded to a PS5, and I was able to download the PS5 digital copy for free.

This is an excellent game. Good characters and decent story. The banter between characters was always funny. Yeah, it doesn't break any new ground in terms of gameplay mechanics but it didn't have to, because it was just simply fun to play. I guarantee you will finish this game with a broad grin pasted on you.
It's sad that supposedly it didn't sell very well. I think they didn't market it well enough. Also, some folks think it was too close to Marvel's Avengers which put a bitter taste in people's mouth.
I bought the game after release; it was on sale everywhere for $20 that thanksgiving. But then I sat on it for almost a year. Later it came to both game pass and PlayStation plus premium. So I just traded in my copy for $2 or something. It was anyway better playing on gamepass since I was able to play partly on my Series X and partly on Steam Deck (Windows installed on a partition; side note - you have to increase the VRAM the game sees to 4GB; default is 1GB; game won't launch without that).
But played it anyway when it was on sale during one of the steam sales.
Loved it! As a long time fan of GotG from the comics- it was very enjoyable. Can't believe this was launched from the same base as the Avengers game. This is such an enjoyable single player experience- I can't praise it enough!
