Come on. Do not add pre-conditions to earn more. We are talking about no pre-conditions to earn 2% cash back on everything purchase and you just can't find the card to earn more. If you like conditions such as annual fee, member to open a bank account etc, that is a different thing. People may not like those conditions.

This card has become my daily driver for everything other than Amazon (sync or chase), and Food (cap1 savor). I've earned $243.25 so far in the 43d I've had it (ofc $200 of that is the bonus) so $43.25. A dollar a day, definitely not bad. Only "gripe" is that you don't get your CB credits instantly (like cap1) but ehh all good. It hurt to see my AAoA drop, and my credit score get hit (recovered for the most part already) but it was worth it!
Looking into the Cap1 Savor option. Seems like you have a good setup. I plan on doing similarly.
Question - If my wife and I share a checking account at WF, can each of us get one of these cards? Or is it limited to one for each account you already have at WF? I looked in the T&C and didn't see a yes or no on this.

Having a checking account or being a WF customer doesn't matter when getting a WF credit card -- anyone can apply
You can apply for your own card and your wife can apply for her own card separately so you each get the bonus

I got offered a product change from one of my QuickSilvers to a Savor1 and it a fantastic decision. The best part about it (for me) is not only does it cover food (outside of big box like WM/Sams) but it also does "Entertainment" which includes your cable/internet bill. That alone was worth it, 3% back on my Internet a year is fantastic. Sure it's not "I'm going to retire money" but every bit helps.
Was declined for too many cards with $0 revolving credit on them lol. Credit score > 815. I guess they only accept people they think they can sucker into paying high interest. Going back to BoA for a new card.
Cancelling some CC's today. Need to find out how to dump 130k amex points and like 30k capitalone. Guess I need to travel soon.
Mate, I've been churning credit cards for a decade. I know the game. You keep your oldest feeless credit cards with local banks forever (Chase Freedom, BoA, etc) and you rotate annual fee credit cards for rewards (essentially accepting negative 10 to 14 points until you decide to stop). Think I care about 10-14 points off 830-840 score? Every year the new cards have less effect because: 1) average account life increases (oldest cards +1 year vs new cards static between 0-1 years), 2) increase in salary = increase in credit limit = decrease in credit utilization. Cancelled cards have no effect because their credit limits are replaced by new cards.
Wells Fargo is just a shite company IMO. It's funny they reject so many people after creating millions of fake customers years ago.

What is the logical business reason for rejecting customers?
To prevent slickers from getting the rewards, and then cancelling the cards?
They can only use that 4% transaction fee income to make back the promo money?
WF gives cell phone damage/loss protection, as well as other cash back deals, which I've used for 5-10% back at Lyft, Fred Meyer, and other businesses. 3% foreign transaction fee for both cards isn't good, but I have a WF Autograph card that gives 3% back on travel, gas, restaurants, and streaming services and phone plans, so handy as a second card to use a single app. As with all bank credit cards, they will nag you to get WF bank accounts.
How is the claims process on Wells Fargo?
I saw that third party Assurant manages it just like Assurion with Chase.
The third party claims process is not as simple as Amex in app. You have to download and fill a bunch of pdf paperwork and provide all documentation and pre purchase a replacement with recept documentation to claim.

I've used the insurance once and it wasn't bad. It was an older phone (Samsung S10) that didn't work properly after I shattered the back. Phone repair place gave me a $225 invoice/estimate to fix it (replace motherboard I think) and they credited me that amount minus the $25 deductible. There wasn't a lot of hoops to jump through as I remember.
I just used the $200 towards an S23 which is now insured by the same WF card.

Would have to ask them - I don't know their business processes. I don't think their processes are better than Chase/Citi/Amex for screening customers. I think their systems and processes are just shite.

totally agree with you Wells Fargo is a shite bank, I've been with them for over 20 years, and got this card when it first came out a few years ago, I charge 95% of my transactions with this card which is easily close to 20K a year, but when it comes to fraudulent charges they said they won't do anything for me outside of 120 days.
back in the days when I had my Amex with Costco, they don't F around they just reverse transactions if I asked.
for those who is gonna use this just be aware of their customer service is one of the worst in the industry, see this recent news I saw on TV https://abc7news.com/post/5-tip-a.../16646006/
after I saw this BS plus how I was treated, I'll be looking for another 2% no fee credit card
