A lot of big name outdoor gear makers have goods produced in Vietnam. Mystery Ranch is known for some of the highest quality packs and the first place they built an office outside the US was Ho Chi Minh City. Don't confuse every South East Asian country with China. I'll take a knife or tool made in the right Taiwanese factory any day or nylon gear from Vietnam. That being said, yeah it has a Swedish flag on it you'd expect it might still have Swedish roots.
I bet someone from Vietnam wouldn't make said mistake.

So where are good fleeces made? Germany? Japan ? USA ?
If you're looking to get a technical fleece made anywhere other than Asia you're going to be paying a mint. Don't believe this BS about stuff made in vietnam being inferior quality. Patagonia makes most of their stuff in China for instance.
