This is mainly for speakers? I'm just recently getting into the headphone hobby and was considering an amp. (Currently have a Fiio BTR 5.1)

I like how simple it is. Picture shows speaker connections with RCA connections. Strange. The description says I need to replace with my own power supply to get 300 watts. Ok, anybody recommend one so I can evaluate the deal?

Unless you're driving some really power hungry speakers at high volumes you're likely to be OK with that power supply that comes with it.

As a point of reference, I was using it for a while with a set of Neumi CS5's and the smart plug I had it connected it to never showed it pulling more than 5W.

Pair these with JBL Studio 530 (on sale for $199 a pair) and a wiim mini and youre good to go. The JBL 530 measure extremely well especially for the price (chech audiosciencereview), way better than klipsch rp-600m.

you can also pair the wiim to a spare echo dot for alexa and stream at 5000+ kbps with a simple voice command.

At this price point, it seems pretty decent. Here is a really geeky site and review (bear in mind that most people won't know the difference between good and excellent especially outside of side by side listening).

You'll destroy headphones running them on an amplifier of this type, nevermind the lack of a headphone output jack.

You need a headphone amp

300 watts is pure fantasy. These amps will usually output a clean 25 watts per channel max, but that is enough to drive an inefficient speaker near field or an efficient one loud enough to fill a room. The RCA connections are for input, speaker connections are either banana plugs or bare wire.

I have this amp. Very good and plenty of power, but I'm in an apartment.
The FOSI equivalent (uses same chip I think) is $5 cheaper using the coupon. That's a great little amp also, but only the upgraded version (linked).
The FOSI will give you a bass and treble control. The AIYIMA will give you an out that can be connected to a subwoofer with a little work.

Ummmm, possibly untrue. it depends upon the impedance and efficiency of your cans. I run mine on a 250w amp and can promise you, this amp does not have the power to drive them .... even if it could drive the 50ohm load.

We all know, right, this amp is not anywhere close to 300w output .... especially with provided ps.

This is only for speakers. It doesn't have a headphone out.

I have this amp as well. How can I use a sub with it? Right now I'm splitting the preamp/headphone amp output, half to this and half to the sub.

I have this amp. I measured the total output of the amp with the included power supply at just over 100 watts draw at about 80db through my Micca RB42 speakers (it was too loud for normal listening but this was a test). That's probably 40-45 watts per channel I think. I used this combo to replace my burned out Vanatoo T0 desktop speakers and I really love the sound of this much better. Common recommendations are to replace the power supply for slightly better sound and a bit more power, that'll usually cost about $40ish from Amazon. I'll be doing that next.

Can I run an echo dot 3.5mm into this and then rca cables directly to my speakers? I wish it had a subwoofer out.

You'll want a 3.5mm to RCA Male cable to go from Alexa to this amp. Then you'd need speaker cable to go from the amp to your speakers.

You can run a 3.5mm to rca cable from your echo to the aiyima.

It says you can run a sub with the aiyima also. I am guessing by running a 3.5mm to rca from the aiyima to rca output on the subwoofer. The subwoofer volume will be controlled separately from theamp volume.
