I tried to be cheap and tried this. The weight distribution makes it a ridiculous endeavor.

Real ballistic plates are light weight and cost $300 or more per plate.

Thanks! I did the 40lb best for $52.71. they have used like new for as low as 50.21 too on the 40 lb vest.
