This Google Pixel 5 refurb black or green on ebay + 15% off refurbished items code THINKGREEN (expires 4/23) made this a sweet enough deal for me to jump on. Will keep this as a phone for unlimited google photo backup (storage saver quality) for life or trade it in for a Pixel 8 when the time comes if the offer is high enough. It should trade in for far more than this deal. FYI, October 2023 is the last security update per Google.

All owners, not just original. This is the last Google/Pixel phone with this feature. Unlimited storage saver quality backup for all photos/videos uploaded from this phone.

Upgrading after the pixel 5, you'd be out of luck for the unlimited backup feature. I'm on a 7 now (from a 5) and miss my 5. I ended up buying a OG pixel with a bad battery that stays plugged in as a photo transfer server to still get the unlimited backup feature.

Just wanted to say I received mine in April and had it accepted for $320 tradein on a new Pixel 7. In the end I got the Pixel for $200 off which is a great deal in my mind!

Anyone with any data points on trade-in values/avenues? Similar incompatible issue with other posters here and debating on return or hold for some type of trade-in deal to upgrade and use for an existing line.

MUFFLED LOW OUTGOING VOICE? My voice sounds so low and muffled to the other person. I confirmed this with the builtin Google Recorder app. Its not the case covering the bottom microphone. It has the current system update. Hardware/software?

Update 2: Bought a new battery kit from iFixit for ~$60, successfully installed the battery per iFixit instructions and the battery life is AMAZING - like new for sure. UBreakIFix wanted $140 for new battery install which was more than what paid for the phone. All-in about $175 for a (like) brand new Pixel 5. Very happy and had fun. bounce

Update: Phone physical condition is A but the battery is sh!t. Early health check telling me 61%. May try a self replace kit for fun.
