This might or might not be helpful, but I have found that one of the best core workouts for me is just standing, a lot. After getting an adjustable desk, and working up to standing 4 to 6 hours per day, my core got much stronger. I found that my lower back pain and sciatica went away, even though I no longer did other core exercises nor stretching as I had to in the past to keep back issues barely at bay.

Not sure what it's intended purpose is, but I use the 6' bar that was recently listed for a core workout. I put it on my neck/shoulders and hang my arms out on the ends. Then I rotate back and forth while keeping my core as tight as possible.

Can't decide what I think of this. I love a "mace bell" but they have the advantage of their weight being offset to one side however that can also be a disadvantage (depending on movement). They also cost much more than this bar for a similar weight.

Edit: seemed to good pass up.

Thanks OP

Edit to the edit: packed really well, fedex tried their best to damage but they couldn't (don't blame them, the object is just awkward). The entire shaft is covered with padded foam thus Comfortable to hold, overall seems very well made. Too heavy for some exercises while too light for others. Not a bad buy but don't expect it to be a one stop like an appropriately sized kettlebell can be (depending on your goals)

Helpful for a home gym. Takes up much less space than barbell with weights.

I have this bar (at twice the price) and really like it. I keep it in my home office for light workouts during boring meeting...it's fits nicely concealed between an open door and the wall (something you can't do with a conventional bar with weight plates). Just a quick grab and go for a quick set of squat, deadlifts, rows, curls, presses, front shoulder raises, whatever. Recommend, certainly at this price.

Getting my 7 year old into olympic lifting as cross training to other sports. Shes progressed into kettlebells and this might be a good medium
Nice. I've wanted to get my kids started but was worried about hearing weights for kids may be detrimental to their growth. How has she responded so far?

That's very helpful. I transitioned from an active, stand for 8+ hrs/day job, to a desk job. One coworker had a standing desk and a couple have a balance ball. I should try the standing desk. For now I look for excuses to walk the grounds, and I almost always skip the elevator.

The only issue is that I have a torn ATFL and rolling my ankle so many times and lately bad, my knee isn't great. I have full strength, but standing really bothers me after a while.

Debunked? My dad is 6'4" and I'm only 6' even. If I hadn't played sports and worked out when I was little I'd obviously be as tall or taller than my dad.

Never mind the fact that my mom is only 5'4"…totally unrelated.

laugh out loud Is your mailman about 6' and friendly to you? JK! My 6yr old is getting big fast. Wrestling him is no longer pain free.
