Thanks OP, repped. Time to give Salt and Sanctuary a go. Can't pass it up at under $2.
Some great games here if you are in to JRPGs. The re-done Persona 3 Portable and 4 Golden are very good and were released on Switch and XBox (unusual for this type of game to be on XBox so indicates maybe better things to come if you use that platform).
I actually chose to play P3P on the Switch because I wanted "portable" playability, which was the original intent of it anyway (on PSP or Vita, I forget which) but this is re-done nicely with improved gameplay and graphics.
FYI The Persona games and also Soul Hackers 2 are currently playable for "free" with XBox Game Pass.
13 Sentinels also highly recommended. It is a bit strange and unconventional -- long complicated Visual Novel with intersecting characters and timelines, combined with strange mech combat gameplay. And you need to go back and forth (with quite a bit of flexibility in how you choose to do it) to advance both the story and the mech upgrades.
Also available on Switch, even in cartridge form for people that seek that.

Any suggestions for a new couch co-op friendly game from this list? Been considering "Don't starve Together" as what I have read you can play together.
Definitely try Don't Starve Together. Co-op and friendly (but dark), and very enjoyable.

Hazelight bundle is lowest at $19.69. Two co-op only games including their family friendly hit "It takes two"

I wouldn't recommend 13 Sentinels if you find it difficult to follow along with complicated plots. There are 13 main characters. 13 Japanese names to remember in addition to supporting characters. You alternate through them constantly, and they move through time - not two or three specific points in time, but what seemed like dozens in the few hours I played. And the story is often told in a non-linear fashion. Some people can track with that and other can't. I'm sure its a great story, but it wasn't for me. I can typically track with games - Steins;Gate is one of the best things I've ever experienced, but 13 Sentinels seemed like way tooo much work.
The story is told in ~5 minute bursts, covering a particular character at a particular point in time, before rotating to the next character at a different point in time. To those who played, how on Earth do you follow along with that?
That's a steal - hands down my favorite Soulslike Metroidvania hybrid (I enjoyed it more than Hollow Knight, Blasphemous, Ender Lilies, Vigil, etc). It is basically 2D Dark Souls and I enjoyed it enough to rebuy and replay it on Vita & Switch (and am constantly tempted to play it again on Steam Deck).
Whoa... You have my attention. Gonna grab it because I think we like the same stuff. Thanks!

It is an amazing game.
I credit it for allowing me to re-kindle my interest is the soulsborne genre and led to my completing all of From Software's catalog.

Keep a notepad on hand if you're not good at following details and names.
I have no problem following even complicated and/or obtuse plots in videogames.
This game came close to doing me in. You need to be focused and have your brain working well.
It requires heavy attention. Overall, I thought it was worth the work. It was a good game with interesting themes.
