Better do this on a PC. There's a popup when you add this to cart, showing you a list of installation locations. Make sure you select the proper location and only then the free installation option would get added to your order. Otherwise, you'll only get the kit without the installation package.
Thanks, op! I missed the previous deal a couple of weeks ago and am happy that I was able to take advantage of this one. Love the remote start that we have had for 7 or so years on our other car!
Is it worth signing up for the total tech for this savings? I was thinking to just replace the speakers on my truck and install a new head unit. Probably nothing else from best buy
Buyer beware! You need to have a harness purchased or the guys are going to surprise charge you at your visit! Also will be charged to remove if you had an old remote start installed before! Spent an extra $90+ when I expected to be in free! Otherwise this system is great, installed just in time before summer hot days kick in!

Might as well! Your gonna be charged for that install anyways; for $200 it's a no brainer if you buy stuff at Best Buy; it adds 24 months warranty on all purchases (I bought a device that broke a few months later and literally walked in and out with a new one), free or discounted in home installations plus other perks and discounts (like this remote starter being cheaper for Total Tech members which essentially saves you $100 instantly instead of being $100 more)…it will pay for itself almost immediately!
Got this kit on a deal last year. Works great, have had zero issues for about 5 months now.
However, the first Best Buy I went to had incompetent installers. I should have looked at the install reviews for this particular location or better yet I should have called around and asked questions. They had no clue what they were doing and did a sloppy, incomplete job. Failed to hookup the parking lights and said it wasn't possible to pair the upgraded LCD remote I brought with my antenna. I went to my car, pulled up a YouTube video, and the remote paired up in less than 2 minutes. I had to schedule another appointment at a Best Buy in a different city half an hour away and the guy basically had to do it over. I was told they had a new hire from that same location come work over at this one because they didn't know what they were doing at the original location.
So be careful of that. I've heard it's pretty common. Luckily the tech at the second location was awesome. He had a lot of experience and was capable of wiring auxiliary functions. The first location was barely able to install a simple plug and play system. And really they didn't because it was incomplete. Sloppy zip tied wires, it was shit.
Auxiliary functions will cost you extra. Say you want the defrost to come on when it's below 32 degrees and you remote start the car, sometimes that's a plug and play function, other times they have to manually wire this to your dc3 brain. It depends. Do your research.
If installed correctly, it's reliable and shouldn't ever give you problems for years to come.

Usually they give harness for free, I got it installed last time couple of weeks ago with this same deal. They sent me harness even though I didn't even in ordered it in my cart, harness was delivered to me before remote starter
Make sure and add a tilt switch as well, it should show for free in your cart at checkout. It's another surprise add at install. I had to wait over 5 hours while mine was being installed, beware. Make sure to schedule your installation at checkout, do not just ship it to your house and hope the install will be scheduled. Call and confirm weeks ahead of time, trust me here.

My Lincoln came with a factory remote start that I could also start the car and lock/unlock my doors via my phone app. It ford/Lincoln decided to stop supporting the cellular 3g modem that came with the remote starter and wants $600 to replace it. I liked the fact that I could start my car from anywhere. Does this starter offer an add on that I can remotely start my car via my cell phone provided it has cellular capabilities ?
