That's what you get for buying German trash.

Been waiting for this one to go on sale, but looks like this is the same model that went for $200 in Feb 2024. Hope it'll go for that same price again soon.

What's the difference between this and 7900?

Heads up, BB cancelled a bunch of those $200 ones… $300 is about as good as these get. I've been watching them nearly daily for the last 1.5 years. We've now installed them in several vehicles since then.

Different module. This one uses the newer DC3 module. The 7900 used the CM900. The CM900 only officially support automatic cars and has a few less features. I've been waiting for this to go on sale so I jumped on this and added the security option. I was also contemplating the 7900 but I have a manual and the prices I was quoted for install if I bought the 7900 on Amazon for 160 made the 7900 more expensive after install. I liked the remote that comes with the 7900 and the 4905S is also compatible with that remote if I bought it separately.

Very helpful distinction, thanks. Was looking at the older model on Amazon and wondering.

The 4905S is back on sale at BB for 299. There's a slick deal for it
