Just a heads up --

I'm a big fan of On shoes but this is a terrible shoe. It's nothing like the regular Cloud X. It's narrower, feels completely different, and it has an awful see-though mesh on top. If you already have a pair of these and like them, OK. Stock up. But if you are new to them I'd steer clear.

Also FYI if you have never bough direct from ON, they use a 3rd party fulfillment company that I think literally must have it's head up you know where. Returns are a PITA. Twice my returns were received at the warehouse (per UPS tracking info) but the warehouse was unaware per CSR after research. I was refunded but a lot of work. At this point I never buy shoes direct from ON unless I'm familiar with them and know they will fit.

**Please note that the On Cloud X and the Cloud X Shift which is posted on this deal page are two completely different models. If you have wide, neutral feet like I do; I would not suggest to buy the Cloud X shift as they run very tight on the mesh upper.

I'm a bonafide runner and On shoes are on my trainer on my rotations. The X, Cloudgo, and Cloudsurfer hands-down the most comfortable for my short and long-distance sessions even above my NB 1080 and Asc Gel Nimbus.

I do have one knock on it which is durability. I'm around 250 miles on the Cloudgo and the sole has significantly lost its energy return. I average around 400 miles on other shoes before I notice diminished performance

What works for me may not work for you and bashing what does not work for you is counter-productive.

I've seen other posts over on here throwing shade on first-responders for wearing the brand and I'm like, "These people are on their feet all day, so by experience, maybe they know a lot better about shoes than you chair surfers hunting for a deal"

Has Hoka not been embraced by runners? See them at the few races I do but these are only half marathons. Also seems like other brands are mimicking the super padded/light weight rocker build. I hate it as somebody that overpronates bad and uses stability shoes.

Seems like brooks has ditched the runner community in search of mainstream use as well with guide rail gimmicks.

Roger the return procedure. Better to get it from REI. Hassle free returns and also longer window.

How's the sizing on these? If I wear a men's 10 in Adidas ultra boost would I get the same size here?

10.5. Only because the upper tears of shoes fit snug.

Lots of options at the ~$90 price point - all in their 'last season' category.

Real runners thought no shoe company could ever be a bigger joke than HOKA. Then ON comes along and says "hold my beer!"
I'm more of a wannabe runner but certainty thought the same thing. They look so gimmicky. Both took off though.

That's because both brands are popular with non-runners such as nurses who use them for work or boomers who wear them to Costco. That's where most of the sales are coming from.

I have the same problem. Any good shoe recommendations (not just running) for fellow overpronators?

Mizuno Wave Horizon 6 or Saucony Guide 15. Sauconys are lighter, but I think the Mizunos work better for runs over 8 miles.

Lol. This is so true. I am in healthcare and this is what I've noticed lately. The hot nurses wear On. The less hotter wear Hoka. The plain Janes wear Nike or Adidas 😅

I am seeing the average wearer going down in socioeconomic class. Makes me think the upper class will tire of it.
